Tokyo Psychedelic? We have Tō Yō for you! The quartet from Japan doesn’t just play a standard sound, but has its own touch: from happy to dynamic, playful and chaotic, with a lot of melody in their guitar play, things often move quickly. But that doesn’t stop the band from also stopping quite abruptly, putting on the brakes, and going further innocently, sometimes even melancholically, with a lot of emotion, a long, high and clear voice, turning the whole riff around, only to suddenly, yet casually and just as abruptly return to harmony and playful solos in dialogue between guitars. The band describes their music as an expression of young people in Tokyo, and that’s exactly what you can hear and imagine while listening to their tunes. Absolutely fascinating sound that we are already super curious about. We’ll have to be a little patient, just a little longer.
